Please reach us at tricia@thehealthyagingcoach.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Reach out! First and foremost we need to have a conversation. I can't help if I don't understand where you are with respect to your current wellness. Nor can I provide any assistance without knowing where you hope to go. And, you don't know if I'm going to be the right person to work with. Our initial conversation is critical to deciding what may or may not come next.
Prior to our appointment, you will be asked to complete some forms that enable me to determine your readiness for exercise, your preferences, goals, health history and more. Then, at your Body Diagnostic Session, you will be asked to perform a few physical activities/exercises that will allow me to evaluate your strengths, and weaknesses, and help to identify specific areas to focus on. The outcome provides me with the necessary information to design an appropriate program for you, as well as acts as a tool to measure progress.
A Body Diagnostics Session with an older adult can be significantly different than one with someone in mid-life or younger. There are distinct screening methods, tools, and measurements that are used when working with this population. The information gathered during Body Diagnostics is essential to effectively design a suitable and safe program. My education has been focused extensively on ensuring I am competent to safely evaluate and subsequently train this diverse and unique age group.
Before we meet for the first time you will be required to complete some forms that will help me get to know you, provide me with the necessary information to create your program, as well as give me adequate insight into your tastes, preferences, goals, and more!
When we are together for our New Client Intake Session we will review all of the information you provided as well as openly discuss the plan. Also, I will answer any questions you may have.
Depending on your personal goals, you may be focused on changing your diet to better your health in general, or your intent might be on weight loss and subsequent weight management.
The healthy eating for weight loss coaching considers your weight on an ongoing basis - the number of daily calories will change throughout the program (until the maintenance phase) whereas the healthy eating coaching will centre on ingredients including adequate calories, nutrients, minerals, etc.
Both programs will provide support, tools, information, and recipes to help on your healthy aging journey!
That depends on what we're working on together and how long you're willing to commit right out of the gate. You can check out the services page for general pricing or email me to discuss. tricia@thehealthyagingcoach.ca
