Your personalized one-on-one exercise program is designed, demonstrated, and led by a certified Personal Training Specialist with additional education focused on seniors' fitness. Your individual needs, physical uniqueness, and personal preferences are considered in order to create a plan that will get you and keep you on the road to healthy aging.
Osteoporosis is an accelerated condition of a natural process - bone loss that comes with aging. Even though Osteoporosis is influenced by genetics, the absence of physical activity can change the severity of the disease. Staying active is essential to your bone health!
As your Osteoporosis fitness trainer, I complete specific assessments and gather relevant information, then create an appropriate, safe, and enjoyable fitness program specifically for you. We'll even review nutritional information in an effort to help you better manage, or even slow the effects of this disease.
A health & wellness coach is a practitioner educated to inspire enduring change as it relates to wellness, health, behaviours and mindset. The coach empowers the client to create lifelong habits through exploratory conversation to determine what is standing in the way of change.
Through mentoring and support from the coach, the client holds a powerful position in the relationship and is able to uncover the motivation to move toward positive health choices and outcomes.
A holistic nutrition coach views health from a 'whole-person' perspective. Keeping the individual in mind, the Coach provides guidance and strategies that lead toward healthier living. With discussions and plans rooted in overall wellness, this type of coaching focuses mostly on nutritional choices and habits.

Seniors Fitness (aka Fitness for Active Aging) at Scenic Acres Community Association starts soon! Join me Mondays and/or Wednesdays at 11:30 AM, &/or Fridays at 12:15 for this fun, and very affordable interval class! We warm up, then get and keep our heart rate up with cardio and strength training, cool down and stretch those well-worked muscles during this hour-long class. Meet me at the Bearspaw Lifestyle Centre for a 45-minute fitness class. Register for Essentials Fitness - Low Impact Thursdays at either 8:45 AM OR 1:00 by calling (403)239-1502 or visit https://www.bearspawlc.org. The full session cost is $103.95 plus a nominal membership fee - you do not need to reside in Bearspaw to attend.
All you need is a mat, a set of weights, sneakers, a bottle of water, and your enthusiasm!

Let's Sit and Get Fit!! You’ll use your own body weight, light dumbbells or loop bands as you’re led through a warm-up, cardiovascular activity, and resistance training followed by a refreshing stretch to end this 45-minute class. This is a great exercise option for new exercisers, anyone with mobility or balance issues, and/or anyone living with or recovering from a lower-body injury. Thursdays at 10:00.
